YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

As an Electrical Service Specialist, you will travel to various job sites and manufacturing facilities to conduct OSHA-required inspections, perform electrical troubleshooting, and carry out maintenance and repairs on a variety of overhead cranes and hoisting equipment. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Supporting outside sales teams and management
  • Managing inventory in service vehicles, including cycle counts and stocking
  • Assisting with daily and monthly work lists, including inspections
  • Performing maintenance and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists
  • Conducting thorough troubleshooting to identify equipment malfunctions
  • Consulting with customers on repair and safety issues
  • Completing electronic documentation using company tools
  • Generating sales leads during service visits
  • Participating in monthly safety meetings

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

No prior crane and hoist experience is necessary; just bring your electrical skills and a positive attitude. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5-7 nights per month
  • Experience with electrical controls, including variable frequency drives
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively
  • Capability to work at heights
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated
  • Team player with a strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to pass drug screening and DOT physical
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime and be available for on-call duties

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role involves frequent climbing, balancing, and overhead reaching.
  • Expect to spend about 90% of your time indoors and 10% outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Regular lifting of 50-75 lbs is required, with occasional heavier lifting.
  • Must be agile enough to navigate equipment and work at heights.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods is essential.
