Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Permanent Controls Engineer to become a part of our team. This role presents an exciting chance to work in a vibrant environment on a diverse array of control system initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated automation systems and solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.

This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement intricate automation systems to boost operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct detailed programming of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and HMI interfaces.
  • Develop and implement SCADA systems for industrial control applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of all systems for optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenges associated with automation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to assess and enhance automation processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and industry trends to keep the company's automation systems competitive.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the engineering sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.
  • Thorough knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial control methodologies.
  • Strong grasp of systems integration and automation principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
