Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at VCU/VCU Health System is seeking a part-time faculty member to join our team. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for building a general plastic surgery practice and supporting the division in teaching responsibilities at the VCU Medical Center and Richmond VA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical responsibility for the care of plastic and reconstructive surgery patients on the MCV campus of VCU and community facilities.
  • Development of an active surgical practice with the support of the Division and Department's leadership.
  • Teaching responsibilities in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery with direct oversight of the resident clinics at the VCU Medical Center and the Richmond VA.
Requirements:
  • Board certification/board eligibility in plastic & reconstructive surgery (or foreign equivalent).
  • Commitment to resident education and teaching.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest or experience in cosmetics.
