With a global presence that includes facilities in Canada, Texas, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, and Italy, we are among the leading manufacturers of extrusion tooling worldwide. Our commitment is to deliver aluminum extrusion dies that ensure longevity and efficiency, with a production capacity exceeding 4,500 dies monthly, catering to sectors such as construction, automotive, and consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cost-effective and efficient production processes.
- Collaborate with the Quality Supervisor to uphold product quality and investigate manufacturing quality issues as they arise.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements through analysis of recurring challenges.
- Manage and rectify any visual or dimensional defects affecting product functionality or customer satisfaction.
- Educate employees on interpreting die-making prints and associated documentation.
- Ensure comprehensive training for the shop workforce on all operational processes.
- Engage in strategic planning for production system improvements to adapt to market demands.
- Work alongside other management to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Assess and recommend necessary resources to achieve production objectives, including personnel and capital equipment.
- Maintain and support the ISO system, ensuring compliance and updates.
- Contribute to the formulation of the annual budget and monitor adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Administer workforce health and safety policies, ensuring compliance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
- Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment, with established schedules for regular upkeep.
- Guarantee consistent product quality that meets established standards.
- Maintain a high level of on-time delivery, critical for business success.
- Address all personnel-related issues, including attendance, performance evaluations, and interpersonal matters.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of aluminum extrusion die design or similar tooling.
- Familiarity with aluminum extrusion presses or comparable machinery.
- In-depth knowledge of die assembly components.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and engineering operations.
- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 procedures relevant to all roles.
- General knowledge of the aluminum extrusion sector and associated safety standards.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in general computer applications – Outlook, Microsoft Office, ERP/MES systems, and timekeeping software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and improve processes effectively.
- Experience in CNC construction of perishable tooling.
- Basic skills in machine maintenance.
