Job Title: Shift Supervisor

As a Shift Supervisor at Vickers Engineering, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 30 hourly workers and ensuring the smooth operation of our production floor. Your duties will include managing tool changes, troubleshooting tooling and fixture problems, and working with our Quality Control department to maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of production workers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and mentor new employees on production procedures and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and report on production metrics and performance indicators.
  • Assist with inventory control and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret drawings and instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Work Environment:

Vickers Engineering, Inc. is a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be working in a production floor setting with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental hazards. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on the production floor.
