Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our St. Johns Skilled Nursing Facility in Kearney, NE. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team, and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote resident health and well-being.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as ordered by a physician or advanced practice provider.
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and other relevant information in the resident's medical record.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on prevention and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
