Teaching Professor of Psychology Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Teaching Professor of Psychology to join our faculty at Central Texas College. This is a full-time, exempt position that requires a minimum of an earned graduate degree from an institution accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychology, with a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and/or professional work experience in the field.
The successful candidate will teach five Psychology classes per semester, as scheduled, and work with students to help them achieve academic success. Additionally, they will assist colleagues in maintaining curriculum for Psychology courses and assist with the development and maintenance of online courses.
The selected individual will participate in student groups, college committees, and departmental work groups to advance the college's mission of providing accessible, equitable, and quality educational opportunities that promote student success, completion, and employability.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching five Psychology classes per semester
- Assisting with curriculum development and maintenance
- Participating in student groups and college committees
Requirements include:
- Minimum of an earned graduate degree from an accredited institution
- 18 graduate credits in Psychology with coursework aligning with CTC's Psychology classes
- Prefer Ph.D. or equivalent degree and/or professional work experience in Psychology
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. Central Texas College offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
