About the Role

The Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician is a critical member of our team at JX Enterprises, responsible for maintaining the operation of diesel equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements, correcting vehicle deficiencies, and keeping records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition, identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Complete schedules, install component and part upgrades, control corrosion, and perform winterization procedures to keep equipment available for use.
  • Vehicle Repairs: Remove, repair, adjust, overhaul, assemble, disassemble, and replace major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, including power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics, and machine shop operations.
  • Compliance and Record-Keeping: Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards, and maintain accurate vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
  • Shop Equipment Maintenance: Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Cost Containment: Use warranty and evaluate service and parts options to contain costs.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: $34.00/hr. (based on experience, education, skills, and OEM certifications) + UNCAPPED Service Technician Incentive Program.
  • Shift Premium: 15% of base wage for hours worked between 5:00 p.m. - 5:59 a.m. and/or on weekends.
  • Working Arrangement: On-site (100%).
