Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Lansing, Michigan.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair, a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, and the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Perform other support duties as required to support operations
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
