Position Overview:
The Security Operations Specialist plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive security support to a client's facility and organization. This position is responsible for the daily management of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Core Duties Include:
  • Conducting classification reviews of incoming and outgoing communications
  • Assisting in the upkeep of a document accountability database and related correspondence
  • Managing the processing of classified mail and maintaining receipt records
  • Overseeing the destruction of classified materials
  • Handling magnetic media for accountability
  • Providing reproduction support for classified documents
  • Maintaining various daily logs for administrative functions related to document control
  • Facilitating the processing of inbound data and outbound data transfer files
  • Transferring electronic data files to internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining a comprehensive customer database of points of contact
  • Assisting with the research, processing, filing, and management of inbound and outbound visit notices
  • Escorting facility visitors and keeping associated logs
  • Assisting in the preparation of facility access control badges
  • Conducting entry and exit inspections
  • Supporting the maintenance of facility access control entry systems, including visitor control
  • Performing data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and managing all customer-sponsored billets and quota information
  • Assisting in the upkeep of personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element
  • Adhering to and enforcing the client's Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supporting security awareness and education initiatives
  • Executing miscellaneous administrative support tasks as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • SAP experience is mandatory
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Education Experience Equivalents:
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years
Security Clearance:
  • TS/SCI, must be able to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of Operations Security and Physical Security
  • Experience in assisting and guiding the interpretation of security classification guides, classification, and declassification decisions
  • Experience in supporting SCIF operations and construction
Additional Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $69,722 - $90,965. However, this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
