Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

Revelation Pharma is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compounding sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Performing data entry and prescription processing, and assisting laboratory technicians in prescription compounding and fulfillment activities.
  • Providing excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Checking prescriptions for completeness and entering necessary information into the computer to generate prescription labels and invoices.
  • Filling and labeling prescriptions, prepackaging bulk medications, and various types of medication and ancillary kits.
  • Communicating with prescribers to receive refill authorization and receiving patient refills by telephone.
  • Assisting the team lead with organization and appearance of the pharmacy front-end, ordering and pricing front-end merchandise.
  • Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding, including compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates, lollipops, and sterile compounded products.
  • Investigating incidents and variances, documenting variances as needed, and implementing resolutions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Must be a State Licensed Pharmacy Technician to perform fulfillment or compounding activities.
  • Certified Technician is preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently.
  • Solid PC skills, including Microsoft software.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, fax machine, printer, and communicate clearly by telephone.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
