Position Overview

The La Quinta and Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Mount Laurel/Moorestown, part of Lahn Hospitality and Amusement Group, is in search of a Facility Maintenance Attendant for its newly established dual-branded hotel.

  • The La Quinta and Hawthorn Extended Stay property features a select service hotel with 125 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, meeting space, and limited food service including a breakfast buffet.
Role Description

We are seeking a customer-focused individual to join our team at the Dual Branded La Quinta and Hawthorn Extended Stay Mount Laurel/Moorestown.

As an essential member of our staff, the Facility Maintenance Attendant plays a crucial role in enhancing the daily guest experience at the hotel. Reporting to the Operations Supervisors, this position is responsible for upholding the highest standards of customer service to help the property achieve its operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of drink and vending machines along with their surrounding areas. Dispose of trash and ashtrays in corridors and public spaces.
  • Ensure outdoor walkways are clean; sweep stairways and landings; clean railings and wash all EXIT doors.
  • Sanitize public restrooms.
  • Wash windows according to the established schedule.
  • Clean elevators, tracks, chrome, and stainless steel surfaces.
  • Spot-clean walls and doors; remove cobwebs; clean fire extinguishers.
  • Wipe down baseboards, railings, phones, walls, and vending areas.
  • Collect soiled linens from room attendant carts and deliver them to the designated area.
  • Vacuum all indoor corridors and shampoo carpets as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in storage areas and linen rooms. Help Housekeepers check supplies, open cartons, and organize supplies on shelves.
  • Assist in making beds and cleaning rooms (including flipping mattresses) as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Deliver cribs and rollaway beds to guest rooms.
  • Monitor pool area cleanliness; clean tables, empty garbage, and maintain workout facilities.
  • Utilize protective equipment provided by the property.
  • Complete maintenance work order forms to notify maintenance and housekeeping of any issues.
  • Report any security or safety concerns.
  • Assist Front Desk staff as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Strong reading and communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.
