SMX Corporation is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst who will autonomously provide services to clients by showcasing extensive financial expertise within our organization.

This role involves leading and managing the financial oversight of a Task Delivery Line (TDL) under a significant contract. The Senior Financial Analyst will be accountable for all financial operations supporting that TDL. As a vital member of the program management team, collaboration with the Senior Financial Analyst and the Program Manager is essential to achieve the overall contract objectives.

Interaction with the TDL Project Manager, senior technical personnel, and various functional teams including Contracts, Subcontracts, Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement is expected.

The Senior Financial Analyst will supervise and guide the work of Junior Financial Analysts supporting their TDL, though they will not serve as a career manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the financial management of multiple intricate TDLs by delivering cost, schedule, and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analytical support to the Program Manager.

- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and create time-phased budgets and schedules.
- Initiate TDL Project setup in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Prepare financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) for TDL Projects and adhere to submission deadlines.

- Identify risks and opportunities for profit enhancement within TDL Projects, contributing analytical insights for financial resolutions alongside PM, Contracts, Procurement, and Finance/Accounting.

- Monitor TDL and manpower costs weekly, ensuring actuals remain within budget and are charged to the appropriate job number.

- Process any necessary cost transfers.
- Validate cost reporting documentation through TDL analytical reviews and arithmetic checks.
- Generate precise and comprehensive TDL variance analysis and reporting.

- Track TDL funding status, including subcontractor funding, providing timely and reliable notifications of funding status by line-item detail as required.

- Assist accounts receivable during billing processes by reviewing TDL edit files to ensure billed costs are accurate and allowable against the TDL.

- Prepare subcontractor accruals upon receipt of services/goods, ensuring TDL costs and commitments are accurately captured and reported.

- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses on TDLs as requested by the Program Management Office and other stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR, and all company policies and procedures related to TDL performance and financials.

- May serve as a career manager for direct reports, which includes tasks such as timesheet approval/review, providing constructive feedback on performance, preparing annual assessments, and fostering the development of staff skillsets. Possess the ability to cultivate relationships across functional teams and internal business partners.

Required Qualifications:

Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible to obtain a clearance if required by the program.
Comprehensive knowledge of all contract types (CP, T&M, FFP).

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project cost control, financial management, and contract interpretation, including budget development, financial data analysis, and reconciliation of estimates versus actuals.

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of work.
- Familiarity with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) rules and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Capable of collecting and analyzing data from various sources to identify, research, and resolve financial issues and program risks.
- Experience in managing and directing work assignments of junior staff.
- A BA or BS degree is preferred.
- US citizenship is required for work under DOD contracts.
