Chief Financial Officer

About the Role:

The Chief Financial Officer will lead all financial activities of VHCB, ensuring robust financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This senior role is integral to maintaining VHCB's financial health while supporting its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Risk and Systems Management: Lead regular risk assessments of VHCB's financial, administrative, and compliance systems. Ensure internal controls are established and followed to safeguard VHCB's assets.
  • Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budget development process, including presenting VHCB's budget to the Board. Collaborate with the State of Vermont to ensure VHCB's budget is accurately included in the Governor's annual budget.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee VHCB's financial operations to ensure accurate accounting, analysis, and reporting. Develop and manage the annual cost allocation and indirect rate plan, adhering to federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to VHCB's mission.
  • CPA licensure or equivalent required.
  • Extensive experience in senior-level governmental or non-profit financial management.
