Position Summary:

The Controls Installer will be an integral part of the Energy 1 team, responsible for the installation of control systems for high-end residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Lead, execute essential tasks such as installing control wiring and equipment, bending, cutting, pulling, and installing conduit and wire, troubleshooting, testing, trimming outlets, and mounting equipment.
  • Initiate and adjust control systems and equipment as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with job site management, including general contractors and other trades.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Manage various materials necessary for the job, including loading, unloading, and moving.
  • Assist in materials planning and procurement processes.
  • Monitor job site materials and adhere to time tracking policies.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a tidy job site free from hazards.
  • Interpret basic blueprints and update control drawings to reflect 'as built' status.
  • Adapt to diverse construction conditions and perform additional project-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify electrical components and parts.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and the electrical industry.
  • Basic knowledge and safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in electrical-related fields.

Physical Requirements:

Employees in this role will regularly communicate with others, sit, stand, and use hands to operate tools and controls. The position may require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling, and the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally over 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Employees will work in various environmental conditions, depending on job location and season.
  • Travel to multiple job sites may be required.
  • This position may involve overtime and weekend work as necessary.
