Position Summary:

The Controls Installer will be an integral part of the Energy 1 team, responsible for the installation of control systems for high-end residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks under the guidance of the Lead, including installation of control wiring and equipment, conduit and wire management, troubleshooting, and maintenance for both new and existing clients.
  • Initiate and adjust control systems and equipment as necessary.
  • Engage with job site management, including general contractors and other trades.
  • Utilize hand and power tools effectively for various tasks.
  • Manage materials for the job, including loading, unloading, and organization.
  • Assist in materials planning and procurement.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of job site materials.
  • Follow time tracking policies diligently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and hazard-free job site.
  • Interpret basic blueprints and update control drawings to reflect 'as built' conditions.
  • Adapt to diverse construction environments and conditions.
  • Perform additional project-related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify electrical components and parts.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and the electrical industry.
  • Basic knowledge and safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in electrical-related fields.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular communication, physical movement, and the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Travel to multiple job sites may be necessary.
  • This position may require overtime and weekend work as needed.
