Service Coordinator Job Description

At Central Sales Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to join our team. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Repair Requests: Respond to and resolve customer repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Internal Repair Requests: Coordinate internal unit repairs with the whole goods team, schedule repairs with bay technicians, and ensure required parts are on-hand or ordered.
  • Warranty Repair Requests: Answer and respond to warranty repair requests, schedule repairs with bay technicians, and review supplier field campaigns and mandatory safety repairs.
Service Writer Responsibilities:
  • Work Order Process: Open work orders as needed, maintain the Service Priority Report spreadsheet, and total completed work orders for finalization and billing.
  • Warranty Claim Submission: Submit warranty claims to suppliers for repairs completed, maintain the warranty reimbursement spreadsheet, and submit unpaid repairs to the accounting office for possible write-off.
Service Team Leadership:
  • Meeting Monthly/Annual Sales Goals: Ensure all completed work orders are submitted to be closed by month-end, supply projected sales figures at bi-weekly meetings, and lead the service team in maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Lead the service team in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate Needs with Management: Coordinate service tool and equipment needs, fleet management, and annual year-end tool purchases with management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
