Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pump Repair Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $20 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Tear down equipment and create detailed disassembly reports, including measurement checks and confirmation.
  • Perform skilled measurements using micrometers and gauges, reporting results to the thousandth of an inch.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures for repairs, maintaining a safe and organized workspace while observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product.
  • Adhere to proper procedures for set up, use, and maintenance of tools and equipment in the repair center.
  • Engage in courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.
  • Provide professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about repairs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working on centrifugal pumps, specifically vertical turbine.
  • Experience working on positive displacement pumps.
  • Able to accurately use and read micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Basic knowledge of manual machining.
  • Able to read and understand installation and operations manuals and schematics.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
