We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team at Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital. As a key member of our surgery department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, including preparation and recovery of patients
- Monitor anesthesia levels and vital signs during procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Assist with patient prep and recovery, including digital radiography and anesthesia monitoring
- Provide exceptional client communication and education
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the veterinary field, with anesthesia experience required
- Solid technical skills and anesthesia knowledge base, with ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIs
- Proficiency in record keeping and medical procedures
