Position Overview:

The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold Skybeck's Core Values – WE ARE
  • Facilitate communication with Owners regarding necessary reports and inspections.
  • Evaluate product submissions and confirm that approved materials are correctly installed on-site.
  • Revise all as-built documents to reflect approved field modifications, addendums, RFI's, or design sketches.
  • Conduct quality assurance and manage the punch list process effectively.
  • Identify and resolve design inconsistencies and assist with RFI's.
  • Support the preparation of daily reports and capture daily project images.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports and as-built records.
  • Assist with conducting building inspections.
  • Help coordinate material orders and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee and collaborate with all subcontractors involved in the project.

Qualifications:

  • Timely follow-up on inquiries and requests.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the construction field, preferably in Commercial, Multi-family, or Hospitality sectors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel for meetings, training, or other business-related activities.
