This position may involve overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Construction Project Coordinator include:
  • Expertise in Procore software
  • Involvement in pre-construction and project closeout activities
  • Regular monitoring of project budgets and conducting financial forecasting
  • Evaluation of project plans and specifications to provide insightful feedback regarding design, scheduling, and potential cost-saving strategies
  • Assisting the estimating team in formulating a comprehensive project budget
  • Preparation of the general conditions budget
  • Confidently communicating with peers and all stakeholders involved in project execution
  • Ensuring timely submission and review of shop drawings and necessary approvals
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project, with weekly updates to identify areas needing attention
  • Organizing and leading weekly updates for Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings
  • Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or errors in the Consultant's construction documents to the Consultant/Client
  • Expediting Requests for Information (RFIs) and Change Orders (COs) while maintaining accurate logs
  • Overseeing site safety and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Tracking and ensuring completion of all required independent testing and inspections
  • Issuing monthly progress invoices to clients and consultants
  • Upholding high construction standards
  • Managing the security and operation of job site equipment in collaboration with the site superintendent
  • Controlling and monitoring labor, materials, and equipment
  • Ensuring that 'as-built' drawings are prepared throughout the construction process and finalizing closeout submissions
  • Confirming that all necessary municipal inspections are up to date
  • Preparing and addressing project deficiencies
  • Performing other duties as assigned to meet job requirements

Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess the following skills and attributes:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial and industrial construction
  • A degree in a construction-related field from an accredited institution
  • A solid understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
