Job Title: Development Assistant

About the Role:

The Development Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Growth and Strategic Partnerships team at Learning Ally Inc. This position will be responsible for prospect research, portfolio management, stewardship, corporate engagement, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect Research:
    • Conduct thorough research on potential donors, corporate partners, and foundations to identify high-potential prospects.
    • Compile and maintain detailed profiles on prospects, including giving history, interests, and connections to Learning Ally's mission.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Manage a portfolio of funders under $25K to bring in philanthropic revenue for Learning Ally.
    • Assist in managing donor portfolios, including tracking interactions and next steps in Salesforce.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all donor and partner activities.
  • Stewardship:
    • Draft and personalize acknowledgment letters to thank donors and partners for their contributions.
    • Coordinate stewardship events, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
  • Corporate Engagement:
    • Support the Corporate Relations team in planning and execution of corporate engagement events, including logistics, communications, and follow-up.
  • Project Support:
    • Provide administrative support for various projects within the Growth and Strategic Partnerships team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in development, fundraising, ed-tech or a related area.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom, and familiarity with donor management software (Salesforce).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to Learning Ally's mission.
