Electronics Field Service Technician

The Electronics Field Technician position is a critical role within our team, responsible for providing exceptional service to customers by installing, repairing, and maintaining data sensors on well service rigs and support equipment. This position requires a high level of electrical and electronic skills, with the ability to identify component issues, troubleshoot, and repair, as well as carry out simple configuration tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain sensors and related electronic equipment.
- Work with operations personnel to instrument key parts of the rig for data analysis and review.
- Collaborate with local crews on proper installation and maintenance of sensors, communicating potential problem areas and expected cycle time.
- Identify required sensor packages per CORE system.
- Assist in monitoring data recording processes to capture data in real-time.
- Develop a continuous improvement culture to reduce drill out cycle times.
- 3+ years of experience in well servicing, workover, and completions rig experience; relevant industry education in industrial, engineering, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid, active state-issued driver's license.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Previous electronics and data field technician experience in an oil field service company, such as coil tubing, wireline, or drilling.
- Mobility and ability to use ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, and walk.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work may be performed in all weather conditions; understands when it is safe to drive despite adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written; English preferred.
- Ability to interact with others in a team and fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and writing skills.
- Ability to work a varied schedule and travel as job requires.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide world-class value to customers.
- Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.
- Ability to clear/pass DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment testing requirements.
- Ability to clear/pass DOT compliant post-offer physical and job-relevant screens.
- Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
