Job Title: Mobile Service Technician

Rush Enterprises is seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of vehicles and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, including fueling, oil checks, and cleaning.
  • Manage inventory control on the service truck and ensure it is properly stocked.
  • Report to the Service Manager and follow daily assignments.
  • Be available for after-hours service calls and maintain an open work schedule.
  • Inventory and maintain supplied tools for diesel engine trucks and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and plan work procedures using various diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform repairs, including injector, piston, and camshaft replacements.
  • Document and submit necessary paperwork or enter into the mobile service program in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive customer relations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 7 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
  • Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVS.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are essential.
