Position Overview:
UnityPoint Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care Student Technician to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in or have recently completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Work Schedule:
PRN (as needed) with a commitment of 48 hours minimum per quarter and participation in one holiday per year.

- Team Collaboration: Support the respiratory care team by assisting in workflow and responding to emergency situations as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records and document clinical notes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: Enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and good academic standing, or graduation from such a program with pending board certification.
Experience: Completion of at least one semester in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with instructor approval.
Certifications: BCLS certification is required upon hire.
Skills: Proficient in English communication, basic computer skills for EMR documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Requirements: Familiarity with standard equipment used in respiratory care and completion of mandatory training for abuse reporting.
