Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. in the Newport News, VA area. As an NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections using Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Visual Testing methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections using Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Visual Testing methods.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Document and report inspection results accurately.
  • Conduct practical examinations and demonstrate proficiency with NDT equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, including safety harness and respirator usage.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of documented continuous experience performing inspections in PT, MT, and VT methods within the past 9 months.
  • Current certification as Level II in PT, MT, and VT methods per ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2001 Edition or later.
  • Successful completion of written general theory and procedure-specific examinations.
  • Proven ability to operate NDT equipment, record results, and analyze information.
  • Valid vision acuity exam results using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.
