We have three locations and are seeking honest, dependable, and friendly individuals to join our team.Job SummaryWe are seeking a well-rounded, compassionate Clerical Administrative Assistant to efficiently and professionally perform day-to-day tasks while maintaining a friendly and caring attitude. The successful candidate will possess the ability to proficiently use a computer, take inbound calls, schedule appointments and events, greet and assist onsite guests, file documents, order merchandise, coordinate with outside entities, and assist client families as a liaison between them and the funeral director.Responsibilities
  • Proficiently utilize computer software to complete tasks.
  • Take incoming calls and respond accordingly.
  • Schedule appointments and events in a timely manner.
  • Greet and assist onsite guests with professionalism.
  • Filing and organizing documents in a secure and efficient manner.
  • Ordering necessary merchandise such as caskets, urns, vaults, graves, flowers, etc.
  • Coordinate with outside entities such as cemeteries, crematories, insurance companies, etc.
  • Assist client families as a liaison between them and the funeral director.
  • Create custom items such as video tributes, funeral programs, and memorial blankets using user-friendly software.
  • Use SmartDirector computer software designed for the funeral industry.
  • Perform all other office tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in office administration or related fields (previous experience in a funeral home is a plus).
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Punctuality.
  • Ability to work well with clients and fellow employees.
  • A motivated self-starter.
CompensationEstimated salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year based on location and experience.
