SIGNIFICANT INCENTIVE

$10,000 Commitment Bonus | Disbursed in four equal installments over a two-year period in six-month intervals.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position operates on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday obligations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are in search of a Cardiac Sonographer to deliver patient and provider assistance through the utilization of ultrasound imaging technologies, facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac ailments at our Triangle Heart Associates clinic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exhibits expertise by conducting routine and urgent echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiograms, as directed by physicians and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Capable of thoroughly and efficiently assessing pathology following current guidelines (American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), American College of Cardiology (ACC), etc.).
  • Support the reaccreditation process and quality improvement initiatives for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography (IAC-Echo).
  • Review patients' medical histories to gather necessary information for performing diagnostic procedures.
  • Communicate technical and patient care-related information in accordance with established processes and timelines.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding procedures and equipment prior to initiating the imaging process.
  • Operate necessary equipment to perform all required procedures and obtain optimal diagnostic recordings; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers and digital networking systems as needed.
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings and ensure that continuing education requirements are met to support professional development and certification.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Completion of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds the required registry or certification.
Experience
  • No additional experience required beyond the education/certification prerequisites.
  • Level I - Must obtain ARDMS certifications as required by each entity within 18 months of employment.
  • Level II - Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer.
  • Level III - Minimum of four years' experience within the specialty modality for which they are seeking promotion.
Certifications
  • ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography
  • ARDMS/CCI certification within 18 months of hire
  • BLS certification
