Job Title: DMV Program Support Technician

Job Summary:
Virginia Jobs is seeking a highly skilled DMV Program Support Technician to join our team. As a DMV Program Support Technician, you will be responsible for processing customer service requests for registration renewals through online, fax, mail-in, and internet channels. You will also handle requests such as address changes, specialized license plates, license plate surrenders, and registration and special plate exceptions.

Key Responsibilities:
Process customer service requests for registration renewals and other related services
Handle requests for address changes, specialized license plates, license plate surrenders, and registration and special plate exceptions
Utilize automated systems and business machines to complete tasks efficiently
Compose business correspondence and reports as needed
Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies and procedures
Cross-train and learn new work functions to promote teamwork and efficiency
Respond to internal and external inquiries within established timelines
Analyze issues and resolve problems using a PC and Microsoft Office products
Communicate respectfully, courteously, and tactfully with internal and external customers
Balance and reconcile financial discrepancies
Compile and analyze data, including sorting, matching, and reading, and explain data findings
Access and update automated records
Interact effectively with internal and external customers

Requirements:
Working knowledge of office operational practices, business English, and mathematics
Knowledge of DMV's Special Licensing Regulations, DMV's registration fees and processes, and DMV's records renewal process
Ability to compose business correspondence, reports, and interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies and procedures
Ability to cross-train and learn new work functions; promote teamwork; respond to internal and external inquiries within established timelines
Ability to analyze issues and resolve problems; to use a PC and Microsoft Office products
Ability to communicate respectfully, courteously, and tactfully
Experience with balancing and reconciling financial discrepancies
Experience compiling and analyzing data, including sorting, matching, and reading, and to explain data findings
Ability to access and update automated records
Proven ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers
Strong customer service skills; communication skills; organizational skills
