Responsabilidades Clave:
- Realizar análisis rutinarios y no rutinarios, asegurando resultados precisos y oportunos.
- Registrar, etiquetar y reconocer muestras de acuerdo con los procedimientos establecidos.
- Mantener y solucionar problemas de la instrumentación del laboratorio, coordinando reparaciones según sea necesario.
- Preparar muestras, reactivos y estándares para el análisis.
- Limpieza y mantenimiento de equipos y cristalería, asegurando un laboratorio bien organizado.
- Gestionar el inventario de estándares y suministros, realizando pedidos según sea necesario.
- Adherirse a los procedimientos operativos estándar analíticos, actualizando procedimientos y acciones correctivas cuando sea necesario.
- Informar sobre no conformidades al Gerente de Calidad y al Gerente de Laboratorio.
Calificaciones:
- Título universitario en Química o campo relacionado (la experiencia puede sustituir al título).
- Mínimo 5 años de experiencia en un laboratorio de química general o apropiado.
- Experiencia con instrumentos de GC y GCMS, realizando análisis de Compuestos Orgánicos Volátiles, Compuestos Orgánicos Semi-Volátiles, Herbicidas, Pesticidas y PCBs.
- Familiaridad con métodos de la EPA y prácticas de laboratorio ambiental.
- Habilidad en el mantenimiento y solución de problemas de instrumentos.
Habilidades y Capacidades:
- Dominio de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal.
- Fuertes habilidades organizativas con atención al detalle.
- Capacidad para priorizar, realizar múltiples tareas y trabajar de manera independiente.
- Conocimiento de prácticas de seguridad en el laboratorio.
Entorno de Trabajo:
- Configuración de laboratorio con levantamiento ligero ocasional.
- Uso de las manos para movimientos repetitivos y operación de equipos.
- Algunas tareas pueden requerir esfuerzo de hasta 30 lbs. y ocasional caminar, levantar y cargar.
Demandas Físicas:
- Sentarse durante períodos prolongados con uso frecuente de las manos.
- Audición y visión normales requeridas para conversaciones y preparación de documentos.
- Levantamiento pesado ocasional y destreza manual necesaria.
Responsabilidades Adicionales:
- Utilizar funciones de LIMS para la gestión de proyectos.
- Realizar revisiones de datos de Nivel I y II.
- Desarrollar modificaciones de métodos para solicitudes especiales.
- Capacitar a analistas junior en métodos y procedimientos rutinarios.
- Otras tareas según sea necesario para apoyar las necesidades del negocio.
