Position Overview
Stantec is seeking an experienced NEPA Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing a variety of environmental planning and permitting projects across diverse regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
As a NEPA Specialist, you will:
1. Engage in the NEPA planning process, overseeing all project components including client interactions, budget management, scheduling, and personnel planning.
2. Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and local governments to ensure compliance and facilitate public interest.
3. Organize and lead technical studies and ecological resource assessments.
4. Prepare comprehensive NEPA documentation, including Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Categorical Exclusions (CEs).
5. Contribute to proposal development and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A thorough understanding of environmental impact analysis methods and NEPA regulations.
- Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and lead others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with various NEPA processes and requirements.

Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in planning or a related environmental discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in NEPA analysis and permitting.
