Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Assist in coordinating the provision of care through assigning and scheduling staff, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating patient care.
  • Staff Development: Facilitate shared decision making among staff, provide in-service programs to assist staff in maintaining or enhancing their competence in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in development of policies, procedures, and standards for the department, assist with department Process Improvement and Peer Review.
  • Qualifications: Associate's Degree/Diploma required, BSN preferred, Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of Michigan, one to two years of progressively more responsible experience with evidence of increasing leadership abilities.
Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate to others, and facilitate processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and families.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working night shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.
