SUMMARY

The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role involves answering phone inquiries and upholding cleanliness and safety standards in the service area. The Coordinator also handles take-out orders and assists in maintaining a smooth flow of service during busy periods.

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares the reception area for incoming guests.
  • Greets guests as they arrive and opens the door for them.
  • Assesses seating preferences and informs guests of any wait times.
  • Directs guests to waiting areas and keeps an accurate waitlist.
  • Informs guests when their table is ready and escorts them to their seats.
  • Distributes menus to guests at their tables.
  • Answers phone calls promptly and addresses guest inquiries.
  • Takes and processes take-out orders from guests.
  • Handles payment and packaging for take-out orders.
  • Responds to guest feedback and inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assists servers by refilling drinks and clearing tables as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the reception area.
  • Monitors restroom cleanliness and supplies.
  • Offers a friendly farewell to departing guests.
  • Consistently acknowledges all guests encountered.
  • Adheres to health, safety, sanitation, and security protocols.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
The Guest Services Coordinator is expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Physical Actions:
The Coordinator will engage in the following physical activities during their shift:

  • 45% Standing
  • 45% Walking
  • 5% Reaching
  • 5% Cleaning

The Coordinator primarily stands in the reception area greeting guests or walks guests to their tables. They may need to carry light items or retrieve supplies as necessary.

Environmental Exposure:
This position is primarily in a climate-controlled dining environment, with occasional exposure to kitchen conditions when packaging take-out orders. The Coordinator will interact with cleaning products.
