Position Overview

The University of Rochester is seeking a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide essential support within our Acute Services for children and adolescents. This role encompasses coverage for various services within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, including inpatient care, pediatric consultation and liaison, urgent care, and phone support for outpatient and partial hospitalization services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical evaluations and deliver treatment to patients in diverse settings.
  • Supervise Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows as part of the on-call team.
  • Participate in scheduled on-call duties and provide ad-hoc coverage during vacations.

This position utilizes the EPIC electronic medical records system, and training will be provided to ensure proficiency.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent degree with board certification (or eligibility) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • New York State licensure required prior to commencement.

Additional Information

Candidates will be expected to secure an individual DEA and complete a health assessment and drug test prior to starting the position.
