Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Prepare and ensure client bills are processed in a timely and accurate manner, collaborating with attorneys to open new matters and update client engagement letters for accurate billing.
  • Electronic Billing: Configure and maintain electronic billing profiles, monitor Accounts Receivable (AR), and ensure timely billing and payment.
  • Financial Analysis: Consult with attorneys and utilize billing systems to address client billing requirements, utilizing reporting tools to respond to information requests and maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Financial Management: Ensure confidentiality of financial matters and manage accounts payable/receivable transactions, working with the Finance team to monitor IOLTA and cash balances, process cash receipts, and participate in AR review meetings.
  • Team Collaboration: Cross-train with colleagues to ensure coverage during absences and maintain a high level of customer service.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with AmLaw 100 company and/or Elite Litigation
  • 2+ years of billing experience within a law firm
  • GAAP familiarity
