Position Summary:
The Lead Mechanic is accountable for overseeing maintenance tasks and providing guidance to the mechanic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure a seamless workflow for all mechanics.
  • Provide clear instructions to mechanics working on heavy machinery and trucks.
  • Guide the team on intricate repairs and maintenance of diverse equipment.
  • Conduct significant maintenance and repairs on trucks and various machinery, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Safely operate standard and specialized tools, including welders and hoists, on a daily basis.
  • Diagnose maintenance issues effectively, utilizing technical manuals and schematics.
  • Anticipate necessary parts and supplies, disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area throughout the shift.
  • Complete daily repair orders and documentation accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities while adhering to deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably with diesel engines.
  • Vocational training in a related field is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
