Role Summary

The Senior Quality Manager is accountable for maintaining the quality management system at our manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, customer, and consumer standards. This role will leverage statistical analysis and root cause investigation to facilitate continuous improvement and corrective measures aimed at minimizing customer complaints. The position requires the development of a skilled and cohesive Quality team to support various internal stakeholders, including Operations, Continuous Improvement, Research & Development, Compliance, and Global Quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Quality Management System at the designated manufacturing site.
  • Communicate Quality metrics effectively to plant leadership and corporate quality teams.
  • Establish annual goals for the Quality team and align strategies with site leadership.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality events.
  • Manage site audit schedules, ensuring readiness and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Deliver timely Quality Management Reports to leadership and ensure completion of follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate the execution of Corporate Quality initiatives and projects.
  • Promote best practices in fostering a safety culture within the organization.
  • Identify training needs for the Quality team and develop improvement plans based on annual survey metrics.
  • Manage the annual budget for the Quality department.
  • Engage with Corporate Brand and R&D teams to support new product launches and improvements.
  • Participate in Lean leadership training development and implementation.
  • Ensure the Quality team is adequately resourced to maintain compliance with key areas of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5-8 years of quality management experience in manufacturing and corporate settings, preferably in regulated industries.
  • Experience in laboratory environments with supervisory responsibilities is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing roles requiring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams for timely product releases.
  • Familiarity with third-party audits, including GFSI audits and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in implementing effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs is essential.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, BRC, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with local, state, and federal regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) teams effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Strong time management skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise-level systems.
