Position Summary

The Senior Quality Manager is accountable for ensuring that the quality management system at our manufacturing site consistently meets or surpasses all relevant regulatory, customer, and consumer standards. This role will leverage statistical data and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions aimed at minimizing customer complaints. The successful candidate will build and lead a skilled Quality team that effectively supports various internal stakeholders, including Operations, Continuous Improvement, Research & Development, Compliance, and Global Quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Quality Management System at the manufacturing site.
  • Communicate Quality metrics to plant leadership and corporate quality teams.
  • Establish annual goals for the Quality team and align strategies with plant leadership.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to address Quality events and meet established KPIs.
  • Manage site audit schedules, ensuring preparedness and support for follow-up actions.
  • Deliver timely Quality Management Reports to leadership teams and ensure completion of follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate the implementation of corporate quality initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in safety culture within the organization.
  • Identify training needs for the Quality team and develop improvement plans based on annual surveys.
  • Manage the annual budget for the Quality department.
  • Engage with Corporate Brand and R&D teams to support new product launches and improvements.
  • Participate in Lean leadership training development initiatives.
  • Ensure the Quality team is adequately resourced to cover all critical areas of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5-8 years of quality management experience in manufacturing and corporate settings, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Experience in laboratory settings with supervisory responsibilities is preferred.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams for timely product releases.
  • Familiarity with third-party audits, including GFSI audits and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in implementing effective Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, BRC, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with local, state, and federal regulations is advantageous.
  • Ability to lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) teams effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Strong time management skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Office Suite and enterprise-level systems.
