Overview:


At Select Physical Therapy, we prioritize an outstanding experience for our patients from the moment they arrive at our facility.

As a healthcare customer service representative, you will be instrumental in managing both patient interactions and administrative tasks.

Your role at the front desk will involve acting as a patient advocate, engaging with individuals through various communication channels, processing patient payments, and utilizing multiple software applications.

Your contributions will significantly enhance every patient's care experience, even before they enter the treatment area.

Weekdays (Varies - 2 evenings until 6pm)

Salary:
Starting at $16/hour (Pending experience)

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for candidates who are adaptable, patient-focused, excellent communicators, detail-oriented, and collaborative team members.

In this position, typical responsibilities include:
Welcoming new and returning patients upon arrival, registering new patients, and providing information regarding their visit

Coordinating patient appointments in person or via phone

Maintaining regular communication with various stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance providers, translation services, operational leaders, and business development teams

Collecting co-pays from patients, managing payer approvals, and conducting insurance authorizations and verifications

Providing patients with relevant information about their upcoming appointments during checkout

Responding to inquiries from patients, providers, and colleagues


Qualifications:

Minimum

High School diploma/GED required

Experience in Insurance Verification

One year of experience in a medical office setting

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a workday

Manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout a workday

Ability to lift up to 25lbs safely from ground to waist using proper techniques

Ability to carry office supplies weighing up to 10lbs

Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize individuals, and comprehend written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively to understand and provide directions
