Company Overview: Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. (SEARCH) is seeking a dedicated Contracts Manager to enhance our contracts and agreements team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work for qualified candidates and is integral to ensuring the successful management of contracts throughout various project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee both existing and new corporate contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain an updated master list of corporate contracts and agreements.
  • Act as the primary contact for contractual matters between clients, management, and project managers.
  • Standardize corporate agreements for efficient execution.
  • Review and assess new contracts and modifications, providing recommendations for changes to management.
  • Advise on contract obligations, risks, and requirements to the management team.
  • Negotiate and modify contracts on behalf of management.
  • Evaluate contract terms prior to award for compliance with company standards.
  • Track contract timelines, budget estimates, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate the execution and close-out of contracts and agreements.
  • Provide relevant contract information to project managers and proposal developers.
  • Assist in preparing narratives and data for marketing and proposals.
  • Support project managers and principal investigators with contract-related queries.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues regarding contract language and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other government contracting standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in contract management.
  • Strong understanding of Federal contracting and FAR principles.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred:

  • J.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Specialized training in Business Management or Contract Management.
  • Experience with Federal and State contracts and corporate agreements.
  • Familiarity with the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) sector.
