Job Title: Preclinical Faculty - Periodontics/Dental Hygiene

University of the Pacific is seeking a highly qualified Preclinical Faculty member to join our Department of Periodontics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing didactic and pre-clinical periodontal content, as well as supervising pre-clinical student learning experiences in the discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach didactic instruction involving periodontal pre-clinical content
  • Provide simulation exercises to support pre-clinical courses
  • Participate in outcomes assessment, including student and peer evaluation, to improve curricular content and presentation
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Active RDH license
  • Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous teaching or practice experience
  • Minimum of one year practice experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Faculty should have sufficient motor function to execute movements essential to teaching and demonstration
  • Must be able to operate controls, use high-speed or low-speed dental handpieces for tooth preparation procedures, and use hand instrumentation including scalpels for surgical procedures
Hiring Range:

$30 per hour
