Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Storage Unit Rental Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, renting storage units, and selling merchandise to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive customer service, including leasing of storage units, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving conflicts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer phone inquiries from prospective tenants, convert phone inquiries into site visits, and provide information about the facility to prospective tenants.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current accounts, resolve contractual and operational issues, and perform tasks such as re-negotiation efforts and oversight of accounts.
  • Prepare and send monthly tenant statements and other correspondence as necessary, perform timely and accurate collection of rent payments, and prepare pay or vacate notices.
  • Conduct daily facility walks to ensure unit vacates, locks, condition, and maintenance needs are met, and report any damages or hazards to the Storage Manager.
  • Assist with auctions of storage units as needed, collect, record, and deposit monies or cash equivalents, and complete incident reports as necessary.
  • Accurately clock in/out at scheduled work times, report any maintenance required, and alert the supervisor to any unusual circumstances at the facility.
  • Maintain a clean workstation, perform storage duties and responsibilities in a team environment, and maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times.
  • Regular, consistent attendance during scheduled work hours and the ability to work overtime if requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience or training desirable.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and proof of insurance required.
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers to compute costs of parking and make change.
