Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our Environmental program, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong culture of environmental and health & safety protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain our Environmental management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of our Environmental training program, promoting a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility.
  • Work closely with our Safety teams to promote a strong environmental and safety culture, conducting regular walkthroughs and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and report Environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to our Corporate Environmental Department.
  • Promote opportunities for improvement and environmental goals, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve our sustainability objectives.
  • Assist with internal and external Environmental audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Communicate and train employees on new compliance obligations, ensuring a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility.
  • Maintain our Environmental database, tracking corrective actions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of our Environmental sustainability targets and objectives.
  • Conduct incident investigations as needed, ensuring a thorough and timely response to environmental incidents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) with a focus on sustainability and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and program management skills, with a focus on sustainability and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex environmental concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with a passion for sustainability and compliance, with a focus on achieving our environmental objectives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and excel in a dynamic working environment.
  • Computer proficiency, with advanced skills in SharePoint and Excel.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $102,500-$140,000 per year.
  • Eligibility for up to 8% of the company bonus pool.
  • A wide variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, PPL, 401(K) match, and tuition reimbursement.
