Job Summary

Guttman Energy, Inc. seeks an experienced IT Director to lead its information technology strategies, manage staff, and implement technological solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, networking, cyber security, infrastructure, cloud computing, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the leadership team to establish project priorities and report on their status.
  • Design and implement ground-up application development using full-stack development protocols and leverage the in-house development team to solve problems and bring efficiencies to the organization.
  • Oversee all IT infrastructure, including desktop, network, and cloud infrastructure, and maintain a strong relationship with the company's infrastructure managed services partner.
  • Ensure the security of all company assets by implementing and maintaining world-class solutions and processes, including training and testing of company personnel.
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments.
  • Preserve assets by implementing and maintaining disaster recovery and backup procedures and implementing information security and control structures.
  • Work with project teams to help implement systems and modifications.
  • Oversee all help desk activities and respond to escalated help desk issues.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and manage the purchase of hardware and software products.
  • Manage the purchasing of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Ensure that company assets are maintained responsibly.
  • Achieve information technology staff development by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of professional IT experience, with at least 5 years in IT management.
  • Thorough knowledge of application development, networking, cyber security, infrastructure, cloud computing, system development lifecycles, and project management.
  • Experience with the Help Desk function.
  • Strong experience with problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Management and supervisory skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • MS Office (various versions).
