Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Business Development Consultant at Lockton, Inc. This role will focus on various client-facing and sales-related activities, including prospecting new business opportunities, contributing to branding and cross-selling efforts, and driving growth in the insurance industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Increases revenue growth through new customer acquisition, cross-selling, and upselling of insurance products and services.
  • Enhances the Lockton brand by nurturing it in the market and ensuring its reputation is strong, positive, and client-centric.
  • Champions a caring, high-performance, client-focused culture that aligns with the Lockton philosophies and Southeast cultural values.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Conducts market research to identify potential clients, industries, and trends.
  • Assists in identifying and qualifying potential leads through various channels, including online research and networking events.
  • Prepares business proposals, presentations, and other materials for client meetings.
  • Provides administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
