Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Maintenance Technician to join our team in Anchorage, AK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on overhead cranes, including lubrication, inspection, and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Consult with customers to understand their repair and safety needs, and provide expert advice on crane maintenance and operation.
- Generate sales leads during service calls to identify opportunities for new business.
- Accurately document all work performed on service reports.
- Install, assemble, and start-up new cranes, including wiring and electrical connections.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Travel may be required, with a company-provided work vehicle.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in overhead crane or similar electro-mechanical maintenance.
- Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments, with familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must pass a drug-screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and proven commitment to safety.
- Comfort with working at heights.
- Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus.
- Crane maintenance experience a plus.
