Crane Field Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crane Field Technician to join our team at Western Pacific Crane & Equipment. As a Crane Field Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of complex crane and heavy equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of company-owned and customer equipment.
  • Providing service documentation and training of lower-level technicians.
  • Demonstrating equipment for customer use and ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Communicating consistently with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining ongoing communication with the team.
  • Participating in special projects and work as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Grove and Manitowoc Cranes.
  • GMK Training and willingness to travel with some overnights.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work at various heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly developed mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, particularly with an emphasis on cranes.
  • Extensive knowledge of crane equipment and advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams on AT Cranes.
  • Factory training certifications and ability to lead, teach, and share knowledge with others.
