Position Title: Acquisition Management Support II

Key Responsibilities: The Acquisition Management Support II role is designed to assist Program Executive Offices (PEO) and associated Program Management Offices (PMOs) in effectively managing programs while ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and performance objectives aligned with portfolio goals. The incumbent will engage in a variety of analytical and administrative tasks, including:
- Supporting the creation and revision of acquisition documentation, utilizing the Abbreviated Acquisition Framework (AAF) to align with the specific characteristics of the capability being procured.
- Providing technical writing assistance by drafting or reviewing essential acquisition-related documents required by Department of Defense Instructions (DoDIs) and SECNAVINSTs.
- Facilitating the development of documentation necessary for Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) compliance and coordinating approvals with relevant organizations.
- Assisting in the preparation and updates of Acquisition Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to ensure readiness for Milestone Decisions and identifying potential document dependencies.
- Contributing to the development and review of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master/Management Schedules (IMS), including updates to acquisition program timelines.
- Participating in acquisition reviews and meetings, preparing agendas, briefing materials, meeting minutes, and action items.
- Assisting in the preparation of briefs, white papers, and reports for acquisition milestone reviews and other critical decision points.
- Preparing, reviewing, and delivering various reports, including Quarterly Dashboard Reports and Monthly Reviews of Progress.
- Providing acquisition insights for PEO programs, including technical comments and recommendations regarding documentation and policy changes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle, supporting Acquisition Category (ACAT) I to III programs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of acquisition processes and policies as outlined in DoD directives.
- Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Ability to lead tasks focused on risk tracking and process oversight.
- Strong capability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and analytical skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Project, Excel, and SharePoint.
Security Clearance: SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Salary Range: $70K to $80K
