Business Management Analyst Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Business Management Analyst to join our team in Maryland. As a Business Management Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial analysis and support to program managers, control account managers, and business managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial analysis and support to program managers, control account managers, and business managers.
  • Analyze cost data to prepare program financial reports for internal and external customers.
  • Work cooperatively with business, functional, and technical staff to support cost estimate development, invoicing, customer proposals, negotiations, and various audits.
  • Forecast financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet), the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Labor Resource Plan for their program.
  • Support identification and mitigation of program cost and schedule risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of relevant financial work experience OR a Master's degree in business administration (Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year of relevant financial work experience.
  • Understanding of Government Contractual and Finance Compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, chart generation or VBA macros).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Current US Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience or similar ERP software.
  • Understanding of budgets, rates and forecasting.
  • Earned Value Management customer reporting, MPM, or COBRA experience.
  • 1 year of professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.

Salary Range: $68,000 - $103,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
