POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide comprehensive logistics assistance across various functions, including supply chain management, embarkation processes, material handling, warehousing, and inventory oversight. Offer guidance to the Marine Corps War Lab (MCWL) /FD regarding logistics needs, capabilities, and strategic planning to facilitate military experimentation initiatives. Oversee all necessary documentation to support these operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Utilize the Global Combat Service Support - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS), and related data management tools to deliver expertise in Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) data management and quality assurance evaluations.


Provide in-depth knowledge on supply accounts, encompassing requisition management, account reconciliation of Due and Status Files (DASFs), Consolidated Memorandums of Receipt (CMRs), inventory management, property accountability, and other relevant specialty areas.


Assist in the evaluation of Corrective Action Plan (CAP) milestones through analytical reviews, offering recommendations, and aiding in the acquisition of test articles or documentation necessary for milestone completion.

Support audits, inspections, and physical inventories of Marine Corps assets.

Contribute to the development and execution of process enhancements as needed.

Facilitate the shipping, receiving, identification, documentation, and tracking of G4 procurement requests for MCWL/FD.

Advise the A/CS G-4 on the strategic planning and execution of all logistical movements.

Submit, monitor, and manage requests for strategic movements through various channels to higher USMC headquarters, U.S. TRANSCOM, and allied services for execution.


Validate load plans and inspect cargo for compliance with transportation characteristics and restrictions based on the designated mode and source.

Ensure the command's transportation needs are effectively planned, coordinated, and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.

Exercise oversight over the marshaling, staging, and embarkation of battalion personnel and equipment for all operational exercises.


Inspect and confirm that all hazardous materials are properly packaged, marked, labeled, and certified in accordance with federal and service regulations.

Travel to various Aerial/Surface Ports of Embarkation (APOEs/SPOEs) to facilitate the induction of equipment into multi-service transportation channels.

Collaborate with MCWL Divisions to coordinate shipments through the MCB Quantico Distribution Management Office (DMO), including the reporting and documentation of dimensional data, hazardous materials, and classified shipments.

Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY ROLE
No supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Hazmat certification; qualified to prepare hazardous material shipments for transport via military air, commercial air, rail, motor vehicle, and maritime modes, providing packaging guidelines and procedures for marking, labeling, placarding, and compatibility.

Certification must align with formal training requirements for hazardous material preparers as per AFMAN and the ITRO common core curriculum.

Appointed personnel may certify that hazardous materials offered for transportation comply with applicable regulatory publications.

AMC Load Plan Certification; trained in air movement planning principles, doctrines, and techniques.

Equipment preparation training, including general and specific responsibilities, joint inspections, palletization, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), shoring requirements, flight line safety, and cargo weighing and marking.

Proficient in airlift planning, including aircraft weight and balance, load planning principles, AMC/Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) aircraft characteristics, and manifesting.

Certification obtained via AMC Form 9 Airlift Load Plan Certification with either PDS Code 9N1 (USAF) or M9T (USMC).

Experience in United States Marine Corps (USMC) Logistics/Embarkation.

Primary Military Education (PME) relevant to experience.

Must possess or be eligible for a valid secret security clearance.

Must obtain and maintain necessary security access and/or background checks (U.S. citizenship required).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Familiarity with Integrated Global Convergence.

Knowledge of Integrated Computerized Deployment System Codes, including the Sea Service Deployment Module and single load planner.

Understanding of the Single Mobility System.

WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time position. Additional hours may be required to complete assignments or projects.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS


Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and be insurable under the company's automobile insurance policy.

Driving, with or without accommodation, may be necessary for training and/or occasional local travel. Expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is conducted in an office setting. Exposure to sharp objects, heat, loud noise, chemicals, and vibrations may occur. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employees will interact with a diverse range of individuals across various functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Frequent sitting, use of hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing; occasional walking or standing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
